Given the current economic climate the City of Oakland is facing, our community libraries are on unsure footing. The time is now for citizens and politicians alike to join together in support of this vital service.

This is exactly why the Friends of Melrose Library exists. We are here to fight to keep our library open, and to demand that the City of Oakland keep up its promise to preserve and protect our community and what we stand for.
